I developed a feature-rich Discord bot using the discord.js library to serve the Call of Duty: Warzone community. The bot's primary function is to integrate with the official Call of Duty API, allowing users to retrieve player stats, match history, and more through simple and intuitive slash commands.
Technologies Used
- discord.js: The core JavaScript library for building the bot and interacting with the Discord API.
- Node.js: The runtime environment for executing the bot's server-side logic.
- Call of Duty API: Integrated to fetch real-time and accurate player data, including lifetime stats, match history, and leaderboard rankings.
- Axios: Used as an HTTP client to make clean and reliable requests to the Call of Duty API.
Key Features
- Player Stats Lookup: Users can retrieve detailed statistics for any player, including K/D ratio, win/loss ratio, time played, and favorite weapons.
- Match History: Provides a breakdown of a player's recent matches, showing performance, mode, and placement.
- Server Leaderboards: Displays a ranking of the top players within the Discord server based on key metrics like K/D or win rate.
- Intuitive Commands: Designed with user-friendly slash commands for a seamless and modern Discord experience.
